A Final: Comets 41 Cougars 13
Cardston runnig back Dustin Sheen scored the frist point aginst Raymond all year from 1 yrd out. Jarom Phillips threw to Rob Schow for a nicely executed 52 yrd TD in the third Quarter. Raymond led 41 - 6 at the break. Comets had 2 rushing touchdowns from Quincey Bourne plus one each by QB Tyler Orr and speedy David Court. Tyler Orr found Scott Steveson for a 23 yd pass TD and the elusive Orr raced back a 53 yard punt return. Quincey Bourne kicked four extra points and David Court had a 34 yrd punt single. David Court's 66 yrd ramble on the first play from scrimmage set the tone for the game. Comets had 381 yds rushing and 35 through the air. David Court had 207 yrds on the ground & Quincey Bourne had 100 yds & Tyler Orr 62. Bourne had 17 tackles and Scott Steveson had 13.
B Final: Stamps 13 Roadrunners 12 (OT)
Stamps captured a thriller in Quintessential Candian football fashion with a 29 yrd single point punt rouge by Chase Heershop late in the second five minute overtime period. Stamps Matthew Grohn scored the frist major on a 1 yrd run. Brooks tied the game on 26 yrd Leighton Ramsay to Derek Lasante pass. Stamps took the lead in the second half on a 57 yrd pass from Mark Low to Chase Heershop. Brooks sent the game to over time with a 56 yard run to paydirt by Bruce West. None of the touchdowns were converted.
C Final: Rams 41 Hawks 22
Nathan Nittle scored 2 TD's for the Hawks and Joe Cayenne recovered a Rams fumble in the endzone for the Hawks in a gritty performance that came up short. They could not overcome the effect of 5 fumbles in the first half. No details for the Rams submitted.
Semi Finals (October 28th):
A Cougars def Pythons 10-8
On a beautiful October afternoon, Cardston met up with the Pythons for the a side semi-final. Jordan Hauck scored for the Pythons and finished the day with 98 yrds on 14 carries. Two touchbacks by the Cougars rounded out the scoring. Mat Duncan had 63 yards on 5 carries including a miraculous hook and ladder catch/toss at the end of the game. Defensively for the Pythons, Lyndon Boychuk led with 7 tackles. Jon Brothers, and Nathan Kobley had 6 tackles each. Jon Brothers and Curtis Weisgerber had interceptions. Outstanding offensive linemen Austin Mathieau and Nathan Kobley played a tremendous game for the Pythons. Defensively, Corey Kuzik, Jeff Jacober, and Nathan Kobley rocked Cardston Running backs. Thanks for the great season PYTHONS!

B Roadrunners def Lions 30-6
On a beautiful sunny day in Brooks the Roadrunners defeated the Lethbridge Lions 30 - 6 in a hard hitting and fought game. Bruce West opened the scoring with a 22 yard TD run in the 2nd Quarter. This was followed by West scoring a 2 pt convert after the holder Leighton Ramsey bobbled the hold and then found West in the end zone. With 12 seconds left in the half and a strong wind at the backs of the Roadrunners, Derek Lasante slipped in behind the defense and QB Ramsey found him for a 65 yard TD pass. Tyler McCallum added the point after to give the Roadrunners a 15 - 0 lead at half time. The 3rd quarter had Bruce West finding the end zone for the second time on a 7 yard toss. Again Ramsey took the high snap for the point after and scrambled to find Ken Rogowski for another 2pt convert pass completion. The 4th quarter had West fumbling the ball on a great Lions hit on the Lions 2 yard line. With the ball rolling in the end zone Roadrunners receiver Landon Eggen found himself at the right place at the right time and recovered the fumble for the Roadrunners final major of the game. Tyler McCallum added the point after to give the Roadrunners a 30 - 0 lead. Defensively the Roadrunners were lead by Tomas Reid on the D-line and Rodger Cross in the secondary. Reid recovered a Lions fumble and Cross made several big hits. Cody Hopkins also had a great day with a interception and a short kick-off recovery.
B Stampeders def Wolverines 19-6

C Hawks def Bears 33-15
The Hawks came out of the gate quickly, scoring on their first two drives and never looking back. Shaun Steier's pounding running lead by fullback Mark Prince had success in the first half and set up all of the winning team's scores. Quarterback Dan Little scored from the one-yard line to open the scoring, and Nathan Nittle took care of the rest, racking up 200+ yards rushing and scoring 4 TD's. Brian Litton and Andrew Browne made big holes for the offence all day. On defence, Landon Lesko had an interception and 30 yd return as well as several knock-downs on the day and was the defensive player of the game for the Hawks. Cale Kaupp was strong on the defensive line, making several key tackles.

Quarter Finals (October 21st):

The Letbridge Lions came up short in a game they trailed 18-13 late in the 3rd quarter. Grade 8 QB Jeff Milroy threw for 165 yrds (3INT), and Jessie Hanlon had 155 yards of offense including a 90 yard Kick Off return for a td. Hanlon scored another on a 1 yrd plunge. Defensively the Lions were led by Douangta Thepsouvanh and Jessie Hanlon. There was speculation that some of the Lions were tired and emotionally drained after watching the W.C.H.S. Bulldogs beat the LCI Rams 19-7 the night before. Nevertheless the Lions will reload for next week.

Rebels def. Wolverines 47-17
Taber Jr. Rebels started the game strong and never looked back. Taber hit paydirt early in the contest when QB Jeff Bennett connected with Everett Litchfield for a 73 yd. catch and run. Near the end of the 1st quarter, Bennett ran in for another major form 8 yards out. The Jr. Rebel's kept up the pressure by scoring 3 more times in the second quarter. Large-sized Kaleb Bajowa picked up a fumble and rumbled 50 yds to the Wolverines 3 yd line, then Eric Bennett caught a 3 yd. pass for a score and Eric followed that with 22yd. run for another major. Completing the 35-0 lead going into the half time break was an acrobatic catch made by Ross Beckering in the end zone. The Magrath Wolverines came out fired up in the second half and tried to mount a comeback. QB Ryan Clark connected with Derek Blackmer for a 52 yard pass and run making the score 34-0. Then Clark connected with Russel Yoshihira on a 48 yd. pass and run to the 1 yd. line. Ryan Clark then ran a QB keeper for another major. Magrath scored on both 2 pt. conversions with passes to John Rudd and JR Leishman. The third quarted ended with a score of 34-17. The Rebel wasted little time in the final quarter as Everett Litchfield again hauled in a pass from QB Jeff Bennett on a 70 yd. score. All scoring end with a 32 scamper from Jared Klok of the Rebels. Ross Beckering connected on 5 singles to render the score at 47-17 in favor of the Taber Rebels. (DC)
Comets def. Stamps 58-0
In a rematch of last season's A final, the Jr. Comets totalled 559 yards offense, 457 off of the run, and 102 yards total passing. Three touchdowns were scored by Tyler Orr on a total of 184 yards rushing. David Court had two touchdowns on 99 yards rushing. Quincy Bourne had one touchdown on a total of 60 yards. Jordan Schmale scored one touchdown on a 15 yard pass, and Cole Nelson scored on a 34 yard interception. Corey Drew was 5 for 5 in 1 point convert attempts. The remaining points came from 2 point conversions. Top tacklers for the Comets were Scott Stevenson with 11 tackles and Quincy Bourne with 9 tackles.
Hawks def. Raiders 28-0
The Hawks won their first game of the season on a wet and cold day in Medicine Hat. Nathan Nittle scored all 4 TD's for the Hawks on runs of 10, 18, 70, and 85 yards. Jerico Rose was perfect on convert attempts. Tyler Glasgo dominated the defensive side of the ball, leading the team with 10 tackles on the day and providing the Hawks defence with many rallying points. Andrew Browne, Geoff Nikoleychuck, Josh Brotherton, and Brian Litton anchored the Oline in a game which the Hawks dominated from start to finish.
